Diane Kennedy is not only the label, but also the designer behind the clothing and a real woman herself. Diane has taken her love of fashion, passion for the environment, expertise in pattern making and personal need for figure flattering clothing, blended it together and created a line of eco-friendly fashions for real women. The results are phenomenal, bringing women across North America contemporary styled clothing made especially to flatter the curvy silhouette. Kennedy was inspired to create her own line of clothing that included plus sizes because it was so hard to find clothing she wanted to wear. Being a designer and seasoned pattern maker who was creating beautiful and fashion-forward lines for smaller frames, she saw the potential that lay at her fingertips and the line of plus-sized Diane Kennedy fashions blossomed. Soon regular size women were asking "why isn't this available in my size?" and so it wasn't long before 8 sizes became available from small to 3X.
A strong advocate for supporting jobs and manufacturing in North America, Diane Kennedy is proud that all of her premium quality garments are created and ethically produced in beautiful Vancouver, BC of fabric that is also knitted in Canada. Even the labels are locally made!
